Read With Me! has been featured in several articles and workshops recently.  Here are some samples:

bulletThe January 16th, 2004 edition of the ASHA Leader featured a discussion of Read With Me based on a workshop presented at the Annual National Convention of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

 

bulletAdvance for Speech-Language Pathologists invited author Shari Robertson to submit an article about interactive reading strategies for the August, 2003 back to school issue.

 

bulletDr. Susan Hagel Carol Bucklin and presented a workshop at the 2003 Annual Speech-Language Hearing Association National Convention that discussed how they used Read With Me! as a part of their phonological awareness program.  The workshop was entitled How to Create an Effective Phonological Awareness Program for Kindergartners.  More information can be found by searching the ASHA wedsite convention link at www.asha.org.

 

bulletSpeech Pathologist Leanne White collaborated with the reading specialist in her school district in Pennsylvania to write a grant to implement a Read With Me parent program in their elementary school.  The grant was approved for $1000 and they will be starting the program in March.  Leanne reports that they sent out invitations with report cards in January and are already get responses back from interested parents.  We will post their results after the training is complete.
