Each of the six interactive reading strategies are designed to target specific skills related to language and literacy development. Using the appropriate books to support each strategy is critical to fostering the targeted skills. Follow the links to lists of recommended books to support each of the strategies. Please be sure to send us your suggestions and we will post them here! Books with engaging pictures, simple stories, and just a few words per page. Books with a strong rhythm and thyme or and/or repetitive phrases. Books Especially Good for Friendly Questions Almost every book can be used for asking questions, but here are some of our favorites. For both visual and auditory predicting! Books that tell the story with pictures rather than words! Books that tell stories that can be acted out with bodies (or body parts!), puppets, props etc. Extensive Book Lists are provided in Read WIth Me!
